The Perth Mint is delighted to present this cute Baby Horse coin.  Struck in precious metal, this coin will be a wonderful addition to any coin collection, or will make a gorgeous gift for any baby born in 2014.
The birth dates for people ruled by the horse under the Chinese zodiac include 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002 and 2014.
The coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1/2oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.
The coin’s reverse depicts a coloured representation of a baby horse standing on its hind legs and dressed in a festive bridle and blanket. The Chinese character for ‘horse’, the inscription ‘Year of the Horse’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark are also incorporated into the design.
No more than 7,500 of these Baby Horse 2014 1/2oz Silver Proof Coins will be released by The Perth Mint.
The coin is issued as legal tender under the Government of the Cook Islands. The Raphael Maklouf effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2014 year-date and the monetary denomination are shown on the coin’s obverse.
The coin is housed in a display case and beautifully illustrated shipper, and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
